What we collect and why
- Orders: your name, billing and delivery address, email, phone number and what you bought, so we can process, deliver and support your order.
- Customer accounts: if you create an account, we store your login details, saved addresses and order history so you can check out faster and view past orders.
- Payments: card payments are handled securely by Stripe (including Stripe Link). We never see or store your full card details.
- Newsletter: if you sign up, we store your email address in Mailchimp to send you our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
- Contact form and emails: the details and message you send us, so we can reply. Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam.
- Website analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (for example, which pages are popular), so we can improve it.
Our lawful reasons
We use your information to fulfil our contract with you (your orders), to meet legal obligations (such as keeping financial records), for our legitimate interests (running and improving our shop and website, and preventing fraud and spam), and with your consent (our newsletter and analytics cookies). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies to make the basket, checkout and your account work. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies from Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted companies that help us run our shop, and only as needed:
- Stripe, to take payments
- Delivery companies, to deliver your order
- Mailchimp, to send our newsletter (if you sign up)
- Google, for analytics, reCAPTCHA and the map on our contact page
- Our website hosting provider
Some of these companies may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place. We never sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep order and financial records for six years, as required by UK tax law. Account information is kept until you ask us to close your account. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To make a request, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
